I have yet to see a mall that prospers by putting in green /civic areas at the expense of parking. Have seen many that die by lack of parking/easy parking. Parking is a critical must have and taking the area outside of CF/Belk would be IMO a big frustration for shoppers. If they are assuming that parking could relocate to the other side of Belk up on the food court level, that is already overcrowded. Interesting. I guess they could relocate CF elsewhere in the mall? I think they are overestimating the cool factor of walkability too not to mention the safety of that while also maintaining the drivability. I guess we will see.

Residential taking up parking spaces? I feel like that’s going to be a hard sell for people who live in Franklin and Brentwood. With the struggle to find parking, particularly around the holidays, people will probably avoid the mall. Also, it seems odd to have people hanging out on their balconies in front of the Cheesecake Factory. They can add more restaurants and retail outside, but the Red Robin building has been empty for a while. I personally feel that this isn’t wise. The locals like the fact that it still feels a little small town around here. If the mall is doing well as it is, isn’t that something to consider?

Interesting. My initial response covers two areas. first is the loss of parking in the lot near Cheesecake which is already rather full. Second is the over optimism of adding so many new restaurants.

It’s seems like the cities plan was. Make some buildings with to many parking spaces. Public won’t notice. Wait 10 years and use the excuse we made to many parking spaces to redevelop for more tax earning business. Community won’t notice until traffic is out of control

Yeah we got a recycling program around here that a news commentator made several years ago that it's a 4.7 million waste of money a year he made a good point and the fact is one time the trash collector came to pick up our recyclables and gave my mother a conniption fit about what we were putting in our recycling bin I myself was ready to pop him in his mouth when he demanded my mother not to put certain things in the bin . He got mouthy with her my mother she took care of him in a big way she m0uthed off at him but both me and my brother were about ready to jump this guy because the way he demoralized my mother talked down to her like she was a dog and I wasn't going to stand for that my mom put him in his place and she used some vulgar words which was fine with me considering she's a taxpayer and she paid her bills on time all the time but most of these recyclables that we put in our recycling bins they do not and I do mean do not reuse them most of it ends up in unfortunately a landfill or they burn it up it gets taken either up into Pennsylvania to get burned up or somewhere down towards Washington DC somewhere in Maryland elkridge Maryland to be exact

Unfortunately an accident happened near my town where a garbage truck struck the side of a fire truck on the highway as it was going across. Two firefighters unfortunately did not survive and the township ended up sueing the garbage company.

im so glad this was redesigned, this old design was awful. the pool being at the very front entrance to cool springs from Mack hatcher, what a mess. I love love love the new design that has the corner building with ascending levels as you drive east on coolsprings. THANK YOU for not even considering this one.

i also hope one day that if middle Tennessee gets a transit system which it desperately needs, that this will be a hub for the train and will be very accesible to the stop.
